Automatic Sawdust Pini Kay Briquette Extruding Pressing Making Machine is designed to compress sawdust, wood chips, and other biomass materials into high-density Pini Kay briquettes through a continuous extrusion and pressing process. The machine uses high pressure and heat generated during extrusion to form solid briquettes with a uniform shape and excellent density.
Pini Kay briquettes are commonly used as an alternative to firewood and other solid fuels. The finished Pini Kay briquettes can be used as fireplace fuel, boiler fuel, stove fuel, heating fuel, and industrial biomass fuel. They offer an efficient way to recycle sawdust and wood waste while producing a marketable solid biomass fuel.
The machine is ideal for processing sawdust and other biomass waste from woodworking factories, furniture factories, sawmills, and agricultural processing plants, helping turn waste materials into valuable renewable fuel.
Main Features of Sawdust Briquetter Extruding Machine
- Continuous extrusion: Enables efficient and stable briquette production.
- High-density briquettes: Produces compact and durable Pini Kay fuel briquettes.
- Sawdust utilization: Converts wood-processing waste into useful solid fuel.
- Uniform briquette shape: Produces consistent hexagonal or other customized profiles.
- High-pressure forming: Improves briquette density and burning performance.
- Easy operation: Simple feeding and control system for convenient production.
- Wide raw material compatibility: Suitable for sawdust, wood powder, fine wood chips, and other biomass materials.
How to Make Pini Kay Briquettes
Pini Kay briquettes are high-density biomass fuel briquettes commonly made from sawdust and other fine wood waste. They are produced by high-pressure extrusion, which compresses and heats the biomass until it forms a hard, uniform briquette.
1. Prepare the Raw Material
Common raw materials include:
- Sawdust
- Wood powder
- Fine wood chips
- Wood shavings
- Other suitable dry biomass materials
The raw material should be relatively clean and free from stones, metal, and other impurities.
2. Control the Moisture
Moisture is very important for successful extrusion.
The sawdust should normally be dried to approximately 8–12% moisture, although the optimum level depends on the raw material and machine.
If the material is too wet, the briquettes may be soft or crack. If it is too dry, extrusion can become difficult.
3. Crush and Screen
If necessary, use a wood crusher/hammer mill to reduce oversized material into a relatively uniform particle size. Screening can then remove oversized particles.
4. Feed the Sawdust into the Pini Kay Briquette Machine
The prepared sawdust is continuously fed into the Pini Kay briquette extruder.
Inside the machine, a screw pushes the biomass forward under high pressure.
5. Extrusion and Heating
During extrusion, the combination of pressure and frictional heat causes the natural lignin in the wood to soften and act as a natural binder.
This allows the sawdust particles to bond together without normally requiring additional chemical binders.
The machine forms the material into a continuous Pini Kay briquette, commonly with a hollow center.
6. Cutting and Cooling
The continuous briquette is cut into the required lengths and then cooled and stabilized.
After cooling, the finished briquettes can be packed into bags for storage, transportation, and sale.
Application of Sawdust Pini Kay Briquette
1. Household Heating
They can be burned in:
- Wood-burning stoves
- Biomass stoves
- Fireplaces
- Household heating systems
Their high density makes them convenient to store and transport.
2. Industrial Boilers
Pini Kay briquettes can be used as biomass fuel for suitable industrial boilers and heating systems, depending on the equipment’s fuel requirements.
3. Restaurants and Food Businesses
They can be used in suitable biomass-fired cooking or heating equipment as an alternative to traditional firewood.
4. Fireplace Fuel
The attractive, dense shape and relatively clean handling make Pini Kay briquettes popular as fireplace and heating fuel.
5. Biomass Fuel Trading
Woodworking factories and sawmills can turn their sawdust waste into briquettes and sell them as value-added renewable solid fuel.
Advantages of Pini Kay Briquettes
- High density
- Easy to store and transport
- Made from wood-processing waste
- Generally requires no added chemical binder
- Consistent shape and size
- Suitable for automated feeding systems
- Higher energy density than loose sawdust
- Can replace some conventional solid fuels in suitable equipment
